SUMMARY
The Client Benefits Enrollment Manager reports directly to the Director of the Elder Financial Safety Center. This pivotal role involves overseeing the state and federal benefits enrollment process for older adults with limited incomes. Key responsibilities include enrolling new and existing clients in vital benefits identified by the National Council on Aging. Additionally, the Manager serves as the project director for the Benefits Enrollment Center, generously funded by the National Council on Aging. Collaboration with external partners and volunteer management is essential. As a senior staff member, the Manager contributes to the holistic economic security approach of the Elder Financial Safety Center.

PROGRAM GOAL
Help individuals 55+ increase their economic security by providing resources to apply for eligible benefits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the Benefits Enrollment Center project, ensuring compliance with National Council on Aging requirements, reporting, and goal tracking
  • Cultivate relationships with diverse clients, evaluate their financial status, facilitate benefits enrollment, offer budgeting guidance and financial coaching, and conduct follow-ups to ensure progress
  • Assist clients with Medicare Open Enrollment to increase enrollment, reduce confusion, and prevent enrollment errors
  • Ensure eligible clients are connected to employment services or other resources to enhance their financial well-being
  • Develop and grow partnerships to enhance client referrals and service offerings
  • Coordinate outreach and marketing efforts in collaboration with the marketing and communications department
  • Organize Benefits Enrollment Clinics and group coaching sessions
  • Represent the Center and agency on community boards addressing senior hunger and poverty
  • Maintain accurate program data and documentation
  • Manage client and professional contacts and resources using standardized documentation practices
  • Participate in cross-functional team projects

REQUIREMENTS

  • Three to five years of relevant experience or equivalent education
  • Cultural competence and ability to work in diverse teams
  • Strong motivational and training skills
  • Initiative-taking with excellent communication skills
  • Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, particularly in Social Work, HR, Benefits, Insurance, Financial Field, or related area
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
  • Proficiency in technology and data management systems
