Intake Coordinator
Position: Intake Coordinator
Reports to: Senior Financial Coach
Status: Full-time; Non-exempt
Join the team at The Senior Source and feel the energy, enthusiasm, and passion for Making Older Better. We are seeking an Intake Coordinator that possesses exceptional organizational, communication, technology, and time management skills, and experience working in a demanding environment.
Purpose of Position:
The Intake Coordinator is responsible for the call management of the Center and is required to warmly greet clients, compile client data, screen clients for benefits and resources, and use information gathered to determine the next best course of action. The Intake Coordinator will integrate into a multidisciplinary team and develop additional skills to support all services of the Center. This position uses phone interaction with clients 99% of the time and does not have direct reports. Must be resourceful and a quick learner who is client-focused with excellent communication, listening, and detail-oriented skills.
Responsibilities Include:
- Manage all calls and emails for the Center timely and accurately documenting caller data in customer relationship management system
- Obtain all documentation and paperwork needed to complete client records
- Refer clients to the appropriate staff member or program depending on their needs
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with diverse clients and confidently navigate various situations quickly making decisions as appropriate
- Respects clients treating them with dignity and adhering to confidentiality
- Working knowledge of Microsoft 365
- Follows up with clients as needed
- Demonstrates ability to work collaboratively with team and other departments
- Performs other duties as assigned by the EFSC Director, or Center and agency leadership
Education:
Three to five years of any combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to an intake coordinator, customer service representative, behavioral science, or any combination of skills that provides the required knowledge and abilities to perform the duties listed.
Qualifications Include:
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and database software.
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Excellent decision-making and organizational skills.
- Good time-management skills.
- Ability to carry out assignments and projects without detailed instructions.
- Capacity to work in a first-of-its-kind program that requires a high level of adaptation and willingness to be flexible as the project evolves.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred

Long-Term Care Ombudsman
POSITION TITLE: Long-Term Care Ombudsman
REPORTS TO: Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program Director

Purpose:
The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program protects the health, safety, welfare and rights of Dallas County nursing home and assisted living residents by advocating for their quality of life and care. The Long-Term Care Ombudsman serves the residents in assigned nursing homes and assisted living facilities, by monitoring care provided in the facilities and working to resolve complaints on behalf of the residents.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Engaging in all aspects of the general operation of the program and maintaining the program in the absence of the director, as assigned.
- Scheduling and making regular visits to assigned nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
- Receiving, investigating and working towards resolution of complaints reported to the Ombudsman Program.
- Being knowledgeable of the licensing standards for nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
- Providing guidance on the process of choosing a facility for persons in the community and sharing information on specific facilities.
- Scheduling and making presentations in the community, as well as to facility staff, family groups and resident councils to increase visibility of the Ombudsman Program.
- Providing one-on-one consultations on long-term care issues for residents, families and facility staff.
- Attending Texas Health & Human Services Commission, Long-Term Care Regulation surveys and exits, as notified.
- Assisting in the training, supervision, retention and evaluation of volunteer ombudsmen who are assigned to specific nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
- Maintaining thorough documentation of visits and casework, preparing monthly reports, and working closely with the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program Director to monitor progress towards program goals.
- Developing a working knowledge of, and remaining current on, local, state and national issues involving long-term care facilities, and engaging in systems advocacy related to those issues, when appropriate.
- Attending regular staff meetings and in-service training sessions.
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Director.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field with a minimum of two years of experience in social services, preferably in the field of aging or advocacy.
Skills/Characteristics:
Bilingual required. Demonstrate diplomacy, assertiveness and problem-solving skills; work effectively with individuals of varying backgrounds, ages and interests; and possess strong public speaking and writing skills. Excellent organization and computer proficiency required, including proficiency with Salesforce, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Knowledge of aging preferred.

Visual Content Manager
POSITION TITLE: Visual Content Manager
REPORTS TO: Director of Marketing & Communications
STATUS: Full Time; Exempt
Position Overview:
The Senior Source is looking for an enthusiastic Visual Content Manager to be an integral part of a dynamic marketing team. They provide agency support with thoughtful concept creation, design, implementation, and promotion of agency programs and events. This individual is primarily responsible for creating content for all channels across digital and print media and internal and external communications.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design clear, engaging and professional collateral for specific audiences including clients, donors, and potential volunteers
- Provide all graphic design support including for PowerPoints, print and digital advertisements, and videography for program directors and to meet agency growth goals
- Design general agency pieces for print, web, and social media
- Work with Director of Marketing in developing engaging social squares, reels, stories, to be scheduled as part of a well-rounded content calendar
- Collaborate with consultants (I.e. communications firm, Freelance Graphic Designers, or Videographers) as needed and ensure they are on brand
- Complete photography and videography projects as needed as well as archive photos for the agency in SharePoint
- Create and maintain a resource library and agency photo bank for all staff to utilize branded materials
- Keep inventory of agency printed materials and reorder as needed
- Assist with website development and ongoing updates
Qualifications:
- 4-year college degree required. Preference in graphic design
- Portfolio submission required
- 1-3 years experience in related field
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva applications
- Experience in MailChimp and web design a plus
- Video creation and infographic experience is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
- Hardworking and dedicated, team-player attitude
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to take direction and grasp concepts and information quickly
- Ability to multi-task and to be flexible throughout the day/week
