If you are a senior in Dallas County without air conditioning in the Texas heat, it can be life-threatening. The Senior Source’s annual Beat the Heat air conditioner distribution provides relief to hundreds of older adults each year.

Annual Air Conditioner Window Unit Give Away

The Senior Source is partnering with TXU Energy and Community Missionary Baptist Church to help seniors stay cool this summer by providing free window air conditioning units to those who qualify. To qualify you must:

  • Live in Dallas County
  • Be age 60+ (or 55+ with a documented, serious health condition)
  • Have no air conditioning in your home or a window unit that is 10 years old or older
  • Be unable to afford repairs

In conjunction with the distribution event we will have a Senior Expo that is open to all! Attendees will receive:

  • Connection to organizations that can assist with food, transportation, healthcare, bills and housing costs
  • A free food bag and a sweet treat from Kona Ice!
  • A chance to win something awesome in our raffle drawings
