Friendly Visitors are compassionate individuals and groups who engage in fun and meaningful activities with residents living in long-term care facilities to build social connections and to enrich their lives. Our mission through the friendly visitor program is to help combat the isolation and loneliness that is so prevalent in nursing homes and assisted living facilities in our Dallas County (Texas) service area.

Friendly Visitor
Friendly Visitors are compassionate individuals and groups who engage in fun and meaningful activities with residents living in Dallas County long-term care facilities to build social connections and to enrich their lives.
The Senior Source provides opportunities for in-person and remote volunteer engagement.
Opportunities can be one-time events or on-going. Simply fill out an application and submit it to our Friendly Visitor Program Manager. Staff will review your application and then reach out to connect you with a Dallas County facility that is conveniently located for you. See more details below.
NOTE: We DO NOT participate in court-appointed community service.
