State Legislative Forum
December 16 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Older adults are now the fastest growing age demographic in Texas, and in the Dallas area alone, this segment of our population is increasing at five times the rate of any other age group. By 2030, nearly one in five Texans will be 65 or older. This growth warrants attention in the 89th State Legislative Session and requires public policy makers to be intentional in their legislative action, as we all deserve to age with dignity and in a state with protections and resources for this important population.
The Alzheimer’s Association, Dallas Area Gerontological Society (DAGS), North Texas Food Bank, Secure our Seniors Safety (SOSS), The Senior Source, and Visiting Nurse Association of Texas, key organizations in North Texas serving older adults and family caregivers, invite you to a State Legislative Forum on critical issues that affect older adults on Monday, December 16 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., presented at The Senior Source, 3910 Harry Hines Blvd., Dallas, Texas 75219, moderated by Emmy award winning, WFAA Senior Reporter, Rebecca Lopez. Light Refreshments Provided. Registration Required at dallas-seniors.org/SLFOA
