About the Program

Many individuals find themselves in the unfamiliar position of providing care for aging loved ones or addressing their own needs as they age. We offer assistance by phone, in person (by appointment) and through our support groups. Our staff members provide supportive counseling and referrals for services such as in-home care, assistance in moving an elderly parent locally from another state or city, hospice, housing (including independent living, assisted living, and nursing facilities), transportation resources, housekeeping services, legal services, end of life planning, and mental health services.

In addition, we conduct seminars and workshops to provide caregivers with vital resources and information.

In 2019, the Caregiver Support Program served more than 2,000 caregivers in Greater Dallas through a variety of counseling, referrals, and educational programs.

A Caregiver’s Story

“The Senior Source’s Caregiver Support Group has become a lifeline to me. I am a caregiver of an intercultural mom with vascular dementia. My support group members have become my friends. We listen and provide advice, sometimes tough, most times smooth, but always well-intended and loving. I am so fortunate to be part of this network of resources to give to and to tap into as well.”
